Every NY Slice has a challenge board with its fastest eaters. Now there's a national one. Two ways to play: one slice, or a whole 50cm pie, any pizza with toppings. The fastest in the country on 31 December win.

Two national champions

When the season closes on New Year's Eve, the fastest slice and the fastest 50cm on the national board take the titles. Every shop crowns its own champ too.

Tell the crew

At any NY Slice, order your slice (or your 50cm) and say you're going for the challenge.

On "go"

The crew starts the clock. It stops when the last bite is down. Crust counts.

Make the wall

Beat your store's top five and your photo goes up on the board.

Go national

Every store time feeds this leaderboard. Fastest in the country on 31 December wins.

  • One regular slice, or one whole 50cm pie, eaten solo
  • Any pizza on the menu except the Margherita (Manhattan). Your slice or pie needs toppings
  • Hands only. The crust is part of the slice
  • Timed by NY Slice crew, in store
  • Water's on us. Small bites beat big ones, and the crew can call time if it isn't safe
